A failed rebellion. A lost friend. A secret betrayal. The end game begins.

The Squid Game is back for its third and final season, and the stakes are higher than ever. Seong Gi-hoon (Lee Jung-jae), also known as Player 456, returns with one goal in mind – to end the game forever. After losing his best friend and discovering the truth about the front man (Lee Byung-hoon), Gi-hoon is filled with anger, pain, and a desire for justice.

Season 3 picks up immediately after the shocking end of Season 2. Gi-hoon is at his lowest point, but he knows he must move on. The game doesn’t wait, and he is forced to keep playing. As the survivors enter new and deadly challenges, every choice they make has dire consequences.

The Front Man has more plans, and the danger only grows. As the games continue, Gi-hoo must decide who to trust and how far he is willing to go. Each round tests his strength, intelligence, and will to survive.

Will Gi-hoo Make The Right Choice, or Will The Front Man Finally Crush His Spirit?

Squid Game is already Netflix’s most popular non-English series. Season 2 has become one of the biggest shows of all time with millions of views worldwide. Now, the final season promises more action, more twists, and more heartbreak.

Series creator Hwang Dong-hyuk shared the news with fans, saying:

“Season 3 will bring the story to a close. The battle between Gi-hoo and the Front Man will reach its final moment.”

The end is near. The rules are clear. This time, only one truth remains – there is no looking back.

What Will Happen Before Squid Game Season 3?

In Season 2 (which had the most views of any Netflix show in its first week), Gi-hoon tries to rally the other players to fight the people behind the game. Their plan seems to be working, as the group almost reaches the arena’s control room. But the front man who has been hiding as Player 001 for most of Season 2 turns on Gi-hoon and foils the plan. In a tragic twist, the front man kills Gi-hoon’s close friend Jung-bae (Lee Seo-hwan).

Lee Jung-jae, who plays Gi-hoon, feels that his character still doesn’t know Player 001’s secret. “I don’t think he knows yet. I think he blames himself for what happened,” the actor tells Todd.

Director Hwang says that Season 3 will show what Gi-hoon does after this big loss. “Gi-hoon feels a deep sense of loss and guilt,” he says. “In Season 3, we’ll see Gi-hoon return to the game and face what comes next.”
