Netflix has added a new documentary, “Shark Whisperer,” written by Oscar-winning director James Reed. It tells the story of bold and controversial marine conservationist Ocean Ramsey.

British filmmaker James Reid, who won an Oscar in 2021 for My Octopus Teacher, helped create Shark Whisperer. That film featured a filmmaker who bonds with an octopus. Reid co-directed the film with J.P. Stiles and Harrison Max.
