Ground Zero Review
Films about stopping terrorist attacks or catching terrorists often tell strong and gripping stories. These stories also bring out the feeling of love for the country. We may read about these missions, but we rarely know how they actually happen. Director Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar’s film Ground Zero tells the story of one such realistic and tough mission. It shows how BSF Commandant Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey chases down a dangerous terrorist, Ghazi Baba, and finally tracks him down after a long chase.
The film begins in August 2001. In the first scene, the terrorist Ahmed (Hanan) asks young Kashmiri boys like Hussain (Mir Mehrooz) to stop throwing stones and use pistols to fire at the soldiers at very close range. From there, writers Sanchit Gupta and Priyadarshi Srivastava tell a tense story. Dubey and his team follow phone calls, look for clues, confront lies, and deal with problems slowed down by rules and higher-ups.
Even with all the action, the film shows emotion. Dubey doesn’t just want to kill the little boys. He tries to stop them from going down the wrong path. His relationship with Hussain feels deep and strong. There’s fear and tension throughout the film, but the film never feels overly intense. It shows real emotions. It also shows familiar things like how terrorists use young people, how the families of soldiers suffer, and how difficult the situation is. But it shows all this in a soft and calm way, not over the top.
Is Ground Zero Movie HIt or flop?
Ground Zero did not work at the box office!
The budget of the film Ground Zero was around 50 crores. But it could earn only 15% of that. Therefore, it remained a flop at the box office.
Emraan Hashmi last gave an average film with Azhar in 2016. That film earned a total of 33 crores. In the last 9 years, he has not given any solo hit film. Fans now hope that he will choose better films and come back with a big hit film in Bollywood.
