Satyabhama “Satya” Anand (Alia Bhatt) is a young girl who has faced many hardships in life. When she is still young, she sees her father Shri Anand (Pranav Brara) commit suicide. She stops her brother Ankur (Vedang Raina) from seeing it. After the death of their parents, a wealthy and distant relative, Shri Mehtani, takes care of them. Satya never forgets that they are living there because of someone else’s help, so he works as the house manager. He knows all the family secrets and tries his best to keep them safe.
Shri Mehtani’s nephew Nakul wants to elope with his maid Kavita before her wedding. Satya tells Nakul that the bride’s father has 24 police cases against him and if he finds out, he can harm Kavita. He convinces Nakul to go ahead with the wedding as planned. He also tells Kavita to take a job in London and leave safely.

Jigma Film Plot
Satya is a little girl who faced many problems in life. When she was little, she saw her father commit suicide. She immediately stopped her younger brother Ankur from seeing it. After the death of her parents, some rich relatives kept them in the house. Satya always remembered that they were only there to help, so she worked as a house staff manager. She knew all the family secrets and always tried to keep them safe. She loved Ankur so much that she became overly protective. Ankur grew up to be a smart boy who followed all the rules. But Satya didn’t care about rules when it came to her brother.
One day, their quiet life changed. Kabir, the son of the same family, came home. He took drugs and was expelled from several colleges. Satya didn’t trust him. But Ankur became his friend and trusted him a lot. Ankur created a computer program and needed money to develop it. Kabir’s father gave him the money. He hoped that it would help his son change. Kabir and Ankur went on a work trip to a country called Hanshi Dao. That country had big problems and very strict rules. People caught with drugs were killed with the electric chair. Ankur and Kabir did not know about this. They were working and partying. At a party, Kabir bought drugs but did not tell Ankur. On the way back, the police stopped them and the drugs were found.
Ankur called Satya. He told her that he did not take drugs, Kabir did. Satya remembered that her uncle had done everything to save her son earlier. She knew that he would leave Ankur to suffer. A family lawyer lied to Ankur. He said that if Ankur confessed, he would only spend three months in jail. What he said was not that after three months, Ankur would be killed for the crime.
Satya broke down on hearing this. But she did not remain silent. She burned down her uncle’s office and went to Hanshi Dao to save Ankur. There, she was trapped in a place with strict rules and no mercy. Her only hope was to break into the prison and save her brother. Inside the prison, Ankur angered the warden Hansraj Landa by following the rules. But she also made three friends who were also innocent. They had a plan to escape through a sewer pipe.

Jigra Review
Directed by Vasan Bala, Jigra is a story of a sister and her brother. The sister played by Alia Bhatt loves her brother very much. She can do anything to save him. This strong feeling between them holds the film together. But the story gets vague later on, and the ending doesn’t feel long and good. The second half doesn’t go well and the film feels weak overall.
The film looks beautiful. The camera work is really nice. The first half of the story keeps you interested. Vasan Bala’s direction keeps the film serious and steady. But some parts of the story feel empty. It doesn’t explain everything. Even the simple story stops the film from moving forward. Because of this, despite the strong emotions, the film feels flat.
Alia Bhatt acts really well. She clearly portrays the sorrow and love of a sister. Her role feels real and deep. She acts very well in emotional scenes. That’s why people say she is one of the best today. Vedang Raina also acts very well. He works perfectly with Alia and shows that he is a good new actor. Manoj Pahwa, as usual, plays his role well. Vivek Gomber plays the role of the bad guy very strongly. The other actors also do a good job in their roles.
