After he was knocked unconscious in 1975, he moved to New York City to find acting work. At first, he worked in small dinner theaters and did TV commercials. Personal life John married Annabeth Hartzog on October 27, 1989, and their daughter Molly was born on August 31, 1990. Molly then worked in the entertainment industry.
