Raid 2 OTT Release Date Officially Announced | Know Box Office Collection, Bugdet, And More
Raid 2 is now the third highest-grossing Hindi film of 2025. The film is a sequel to the 2018 film Raid and stars Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh and Vaani Kapoor in the lead roles. After doing well in theatres, the film is now available to watch on Netflix. When Raid (2018) was released, people loved the simple story of an honest IRS officer, in which he fights against the rich and the unjust with fair rules, papers and courage. It felt smart, realistic and brave without much of a fight. Now, Raid 2 is back with the same feel, but it looks bigger and has darker twists. It starts off slow and loses its grip in the first half, but it gets better and picks up the pace later on.
Raj Kumar Gupta has directed Raid 2, and has brought back Ajay Devgn as the strong and honest Amay Patnaik. This time, his enemy is a deceitful and beloved leader, Dada Manohar Bhai, played well by Riteish Deshmukh. With the addition of Vaani Kapoor, Supriya Pathak, Saurabh Shukla and Amit Sial, the film turns into a strong and deep story about politics. It ends in a way that feels satisfying but also offers a smart warning.

Raid 2 Plot & Story
Raid 2 film tells the story of a brave and honest officer, Amay Patnaik, played by Ajay Devgn. This time, he fights against a bad and strong politician, Dada Bhai, played by Riteish Deshmukh. People stop him and threaten him, yet Amay does not give up and follows a big black money case that goes to Dada Bhai.
The story changes in a big way when Tauji (played by Saurabh Shukla, who was also in Raid enters the story.
Raid 2 Movie Review
Same hero, new enemy, bigger scale is a tactic that mostly works for a new Bond film or the next big step taken by our Tiger. This time, director Raj Kumar Gupta uses the same idea for the next story of an unknown Income Tax officer shown seven years ago.
That time, the honest officer wearing slippers fought against a strong man who looked like a Member of Parliament. That film worked well with its strong idea, tight story and good acting. Ajay Devgn gave strength to the bold Amay Patnaik, who remained calm despite the transfer and the danger. But it was Saurabh Shukla who made people laugh with his smart words and funny tricks that we could connect with.
In this second part, there is nothing new, just loud background music that is more suitable for the Singham of the films. Govind Namdev mocks the tax officers for not being brave and Devgn goes inside wearing black shades during the night scene.
